electron energy levels
What Happen: In this lab we learned about how chemical reactions occur by the flow of electrons. Andrew created this reaction by putting magnesium into citric acid and collecting the hydrogen in a ballon. When Andrew put a ballon near the flame the it exploded. When the balloon exploded the hydrogen creates water
Looking Beyond: What I learned is the chemical Reaction between magnesium and the citric acid. When the hydrogen filled up the balloon it cause a chemical reaction and the balloon exploded.
Looking inward: In this lab we got good results. It was cool to see when you put the magnesium into the citric acid and the hydrogen filled up the balloon. Also when you put all those together and put it near a flame it will exploded.
Looking outward: For this activity we didn't work with anyone. It was guided activity so we followed what Andrew did and took notes.
Question I had:
How does magnesium and citric acid create a chemical reaction?
How did these 2 chemicals create a hydrogen for the ballon to exploded
Take aways: I learned it this activity about magnesium and citric acid and what they do we they all combined. Also I learned that if you put those near flames they are flammable and exploded
Chemical Reaction: It is a process of that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substance to another- "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_reaction "
Combustion Reaction: A combustion reaction is a reaction in which one of the reactants is oxygen. The other reactant is usually a hydrocarbon. The products are either complete or. incomplete.- "www.intel.com/content/dam/www/program/.../react-presentation.pdf "
